INSURANCE
One-on-One Support & Consultation for Insurance
Over the past decade, health insurance coverage for services to treat children with autism has increased drastically.
Our team specializes in getting families the coverage they need. We help you gather the necessary information and identify services covered in your specific insurance plan. Then, we coordinate with your insurance company on your behalf to obtain approval for requested services, including applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy. Contact us to start the process.
OUR NETWORK
Total Spectrum is in network with most insurance companies and is happy to check your benefits.
Get started with an intake coordinator by completing the contact form, or calling us at 844.263.1613.
Payment of copays, co-insurance, and charges are due at the time of service.
We accept personal checks, Mastercard, Visa, and Discover.
Accepting Medicaid—Quality Care, Covered
We accept Medicaid, a government-funded healthcare program for individuals with a qualifying disability, such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or who have financial needs.
Medicaid covers applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy in certain states and under specific conditions. Some states provide comprehensive coverage for ABA therapy under Medicaid, while others have more limited coverage or require additional qualifications. To determine the specific coverage in your state, contact your local Medicaid office or reach out to us.
TIPS
Get a documented diagnosis.
The first step in navigating the insurance maze is to make sure you have a written diagnosis from a medical or licensed health professional.
Determine what type of insurance you have.
Whether you have a PPO, HMO, EPO, or something else, find out the precise name of your plan.
Understand your specific policy and financial obligations.
Every policy’s scope is different. What are your co-pays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket maximums? Do you need a referral? What providers are “in-network”? Knowledge is power—and understanding your policy will help you avoid confusion down the road.
Find a provider that fits your needs.
Not all ABA providers are created equally. You and your family will spend significant time with the provider, so find an organization you feel comfortable with and that understands the ins and outs of ABA.
Stay organized and work the process.
Remain positive—and know that however long and difficult the journey seems, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
