Clinical Director, Total Spectrum, West Michigan
Melissa Furman works as the clinical director for Total Spectrum in West Michigan. Her interest in behavior analysis started in an introductory ABA class at James Madison University, where she attended college and graduate school. After this course, Melissa took a position as a graduate assistant at the Inter-Professional Autism Clinic and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy Clinic, where her passion for working with children with disabilities continued to blossom. She went on to earn a master’s degree in psychological sciences, with a concentration in behavior analysis. Before joining Total Spectrum, she worked as a behavior analyst in Palm Springs, California, for LEARN Behavioral’s Autism Spectrum Therapies (AST). She currently lives with her husband and two cats in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
